The Nimbus 42 Nova features a single-level layout with wide side decks. There is a side door from the saloon to the side deck on both the starboard and port sides. A three-part sliding aft door creates one large open living space between the saloon, which has an L-shaped sofa, and the aft deck. Fixed benches and 2 tables are located on the aft deck for optimal viewing. The wide side decks allow for easy movement around the boat.

Below deck, there are 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms. The owner's cabin includes a private bathroom with a toilet and separate shower.
